It’s just a little over 2 weeks until the Liverpool Binary Festival takes place.
It’s the second time we have delivered this event and I absolutely LOVE producing this one. It enables me to connect with people – some I’ve known for years and others I’m just meeting for the first time.
It’s in a place I love, Liverpool, which will always feel like home, having lived there for over 20 years. There is such a wealth of creativity and such a “have a go” attitude, combined with a host of collaborating companies, thousands of university students and the fastest growing digital economy it is the perfect breeding ground for a creative and digital event.
One of my favourite aspects of the Binary Festival is the gatherings – small groups who get together to discover something new, a new skill, learning something useful or just connecting with their inner creativity. We are running sessions from OH Create – getting in touch with your creativity, to a ‘Masterclass in Wine Tasting’, learning all the best tips about storytelling with powerpoint or ‘How to Grow your YouTube Channel’ as well as Artificial Intelligence experts from BIMA AI Think Tank delivering thought provoking talks and hosting an interactive session.
The marketing collateral is finalised, lanyards are delivered and I am currently making catering orders, recruiting volunteers and having final site and av meetings at the just about to open beautiful Hinterlands space. The role of producing an event is so diverse and exciting it keeps me engaged every single day.
More updates will follow..watch this space and oh – check out the festival!
